Correct Format: Please try to use the simplest form that works, i.e. "index.html" is usually not required in order for the page to appear. The best URL you can enter looks like this: http://www.mydomain.com/ or http://www.myhost.com/mysite/ ... Thanks!

Descriptions

Descriptions are Searchable: Write a good description for your site that includes any keywords you think people might use when searching for your site. (Do NOT write "the Coolest site on the Net, the ONLY place to find X, or any other such schlock. If you really were the only place to find X, I'd be out of a job.)

Do list what your site contains. For example, if you have reviews, make sure "review" is part of your description. Do NOT submit a string of keywords for your description. Write your keywords into complete and coherent sentences. Make sure your description is enticing and interesting. The more people who click on your link, the higher you can appear in the Great Wyrm.

'Official' Classification

Official Sites: If you're Wizards of the Coast, Flying Buffalo, White Wolf, Apophis Consortium or Steve Jackson Games, select yes (and Welcome!). If you've been approved/stamped by one of the majors as an official site, select yes. Otherwise, leave it at No. Basically, this designation is intended to help folks find gaming companies and official sources of information. If you don't fit the bill, don't try. If you're not sure, try these on for size:

You are NOT an official site if you are a) one or more people working on a homebrew game (at least get a DBA or an S-Corp) b) the owner or administrator of any online game, no matter how popular (Effie decides these carefully and at her discretion) or c) the owner of the just-darn-coolest site on the web. Gimme a break. Everybody knows my site is the coolest :)

Contact Information

Incorrect Email Addresses: A correct email address is required with each entry. If the automatic validation of your link bounces, your link will be removed. We use this email address to tell you about new services and features, such as new Top Sites lists, Web Rings, and the like. Your contact info does NOT appear on our pages.
